    It appears that the Microsoft HPC Pack setup in Beta2 doesn't prompt for a location for the REMINST share, and wants to put it on C:.  This requires substanial free space on the primary drive.  It seems that the Data directory is controlled by a registry key, but changing that seems to break a number of things.

     

    At first glace, being able to use WDS from a single-drive headnode would seem to a plus oven CCS V1, which required two partitions.  But what if I had the two partitions already and acutally want to use the second one for deployment (for example, in upgrade scenarios?)

     

    Ideas?

    During install one of the setup wizard pages should have allowed you to specify the program files directory and the data directory.

     

    The 'reminst' share is placed based on where you set the 'data' path - so that can be a seperate drive from where you install the HPC Pack itself.
