    Hello everyone,

I was wondering if Compute Cluster Pack 2.0 was ever released?

A couple of months ago the beta version of Microsoft Windows HPC Server 2008 which, from what i understand, is the second version of Microsoft Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003.

Does this new operating system bring Compute Cluster Pack 2.0? Or is it shipped with Compute Cluster Pack 1 + SP1?

Also, is there any deep impact running Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 developed applications on Windows HPC Server 2008?

    Thanks in advance,
    Luís Silva

HPC Server 2008 is based on Windows Server 2008 (Longhorn) and is shipped with Compute Cluster Edition v2, that was the statement at HPC Pal training in Munich.

Me was told, that MS is working on full compatibility between v1 runable programs and job issuing scripts and the new v2 API.  At least it should work in most cases and they appreciate feedback on problems.
