AnswerFlash player for windows mobile 6.0

I'm using a T-Mobile Dash (HTC Excalibur) with windows mobile 6.0
I've checked several threads about flash player, they all link to the flash player 7 for pocket pc download. When I try to install it, however, it gives me an error that it is not intended for this device.  Has anyone found a solution to this problem yet? is there a way to manually place the files from the .cab?

The flash player 7 is for Pocket PC which is why it is not intended for your device.

I think this is what you want:

Personally, I'd feel more confident with this version:

On course if the Dash were a Pocket PC DaDaniel2, that would be a good choice since Flash Player 7 you linked will allow you to play rich Flash content on Pocket PC devices.  However the device he is using is a smartphone not a Pocket PC.

I have the sprint mogul, its an htc device that is running windows mobile 6 and I'm having the same problem.  But if I remember correctly, this device is a pocket pc system, not smartphone.  Any suggestions?

Could the source of issues associated with installing this on HTC Mogul devices be related to the comment on the Adobe Flash 7 for Pocket PC installation page that it is "for all Windows Mobile 5 and Pocket PC 2003 devices"?

When I tried installing the CAB it seemed to go fine - but when I try to view Flash content in Pocket IE there seems to be a file type association issue.

I have a t-mobile dash running windows mobile 6.0, and I can't play youtube, ytmnd.com, ebaumsworld.com, etc. videos at all, and when I asked the t-mobile tech support guy what he might recommend, he said
    mini.opera.com  (or)
    http://www.operamini.com/

Let me know if that works, because I haven't tried it.

I am currently using the TMobile Shadow which is an HTC phone and running Windows Mobile 6.  It seems safe to reason that the flash player 7 for pocket PC won't work because it says on the adobe website that it's designed for windows mobile 5.  Download.com has a youtube movie downloader which would seem like kind of a pain considering TMobile's internet is rather slow.  If anyone finds a good way around this let me know.  Maybe with Yahoo's mobile OS or the new Google mobile OS sometime soon, but I haven't tried.

i recently purchased the motorola q9c from sprint.  i'm able to view some videos (youtube) but not others.
after talking with motorola they also recommended opera; however, they didn't gaurantee it would work for all videos that flash would work for.
i haven't tried this yet as i haven't been able to sync my q9c with my pc :/
i sent an email to adobe asking them for more info on flash player and will add info here if it's worth noting.

I used the instructions found here to get YouTube and a bunch of others to play on my HTC8925 (Tilt) with WM6.1.

I believe the Flash bundle they link to in the article is publically available from Adobe. I think the trick is getting a player to display the correctly.

Fair warning, though -- a small "launcher" HTML page is included with links to YouTube, Veoh and others.  Included in this page are some sites with adult content, but it's easy to edit them out.

I had the same problem with Verizon service Motorola Q9c running WM6.0. Downloading the PocketPlayer app from Conduit resolved the issue. Go to below site and select Pocket Player 3.7 and then select your platfo

the only use i found for pocket player was to play music... and it's not even free (beyond 30 days). also, when i go to browser settings it causes my phone (moto q9c) to hang.  1st and only program that has accomplished this thus far.  what does this have to do a flash player displaying websites with flash media?
let's go adobe... how long are you going to make us wait for a flash player compatible with all pocket pc phones?!

I tried to follow these instructions.  I am concerned about installing the recommended registry editor because it says it is for WM5 and I have WM6.1.  In looking for other registry editors, they seem to want to install on my computer and they do not seem to work on my Vista machine.  Any suggestions on the registry editors?  With the one recommended for WM5 work on WM6.1?
