AnswerTilt 2 / WM6.5 not allowing web addresses with a port number?

I upgraded from an AT&T HTC Tilt to a Tilt 2 this week, and am no longer able to browse to a few of my home automation/security system web pages.  I use my domain name with different port numbers appended (ie: www.example.com:5555) to direct the requests to 3 server programs on 2 different computers in my home network.  This worked fine with the old Tilt (8925), but since the new phone and SIM card were activated, I get a Gateway Timeout error each time I try to access these programs.

I tried to switch the newly activated SIM back to my old Tilt, but I can no longer access these web pages with that phone.  I tried configuring my programs to use several different port numbers, but the only one that will work is port 8080.  These error messages occur whether I'm using mobile IE or Opera.  I can browse to any website...as long as it doesn't have a port number appended.  I have tried to browse to other websites that have a port number in the address, and the Tilt 2 gives the same error.  With my own personal web pages, my router doesn't even show that an attempt was made to access these pages when using my phone to make the request.

A call to AT&T was little help, and they finally said that it must be something that "Microsoft programmed into the new Windows Mobile version".  Needless to say, I've requested a call back from the next level of AT&T tech support for tomorrow.

Has anyone had an issue browsing to a web address with a port number using Windows Mobile?  I seriously don't know if it's a problem with the phone, the SIM card, AT&T's server settings, WM6.5 or something else.

    Thanks

It sounds like AT&T has you on an APN that only allows ports 80 and 8080 to pass through.  You may have to request another APN so you can have full access, similar to requesting a VPN APN on T-mobile.  I had to do that once when I used T-Mobile.  There are no port restrictions in windows mobile but the APN that your carrier has you set to can limit what and where you access.
