Where can I get the driver or software that origonally came with the samsung jack I637. I lost the CD and need the driver to connect the phone to my computer and upgrade it to Windows mobile 6.5. Ive looked everywhere for it and cant seem to find it. I have the basic driver that lets me connect it to sync but when i try to run the WM 6.5 upgrader its saying i need a different driver. Im assuming off the disc that came with the phone.

You should not need anything that comes from the CD everything that is needed is part of the upgrade tool.  Carefully read the upgrade instructutions found here:  http://ars.samsung.com/customer/usa/jsp/faqs/faqs_view.jsp?SITE_ID=22&PG_ID=2&PROD_SUB_ID=557&PROD_ID=558&AT_ID=177858 and follow the steps without any deviation.

The upgrade tool will install a software driver required to update the handset. If Windows alerts that the software is not digitally signed or is unable to verify publisher, select “Install the driver software anyway”.

Just a side note, I am assuming your PC is NOT a 64 bit machine. Due to the nature of the drivers embedded with the tool, they were not designed for use in that environment so you MUST use a 32 bit machine for the upgrade. In addition, the upgrade process is ONLY compatible with Vista or XP.

I am having the same problem.  Will try a few more things, but even when following the instructions, either the drivers are not being automatically installed or the device is not being recognized correctly.  When the device gets powered off and goes into the update mode, a 'Found New Hardware' open up and asks for the installation CD to install a Qualcom driver.

*Update* As with everything... 'run as administrator'... will then pop up multiple times asking if you want to install various drivers with scary red boxes.

I tried everything and couldnt get it to work. Tried it on two different computers running Vista with no success then tried it on a Windows XP comp and it worked fine. Might wanna try in on XP and see if it works for you.
