AnswerExchange ActiveSync not syncing specified data

I have a Samsung Omnia with WM 6.1 and Exchange Server 2003 SP2.

I have setup the Active Sync on the phone specifying the Exchange OWA address and my credentials to sync items over the air and it works, sort of.

What it will not do is sync any of my Calendar items, Contacts, or all of the Inbox items I specify. I tell it everything in my Inbox, but it doesn't sync everything, only some emails.

When I sync this device via USB cable to my PC w/ Outlook 2007, and I specify the FQDN of my Exchange server, it grabs everything.

Should I be specifying my OWA address on the desktop Activesync? I don't think we have access to that public address from the inside.

    Perhaps that's the issue...

    Ideas?

Wouldn't you know it, I troubleshoot and research this particular issue for a week+ and a few hours after giving up and posting the question, I find the answer.

In short, it was Scanmail 8.0 that was causing the issue.

It not only fixed the issue above, it also fixed the AUTD that wasn't working quite right.

    Good times!!!

    Hi,
Using any antivirus with Exchange can cause problems with Exchange Activesync clients.  Also, the OWA address must be used to sync with the device.  Finally the digital certificate for the OWA server should match the host name that is used to access it otherwise the clients may not be able to access it.
