I see a lot of people have the same problems The Mobil Device Center does not work. I spent hours with a Verizon Technician and could not fix the problem.
My device has dificulties to connect and when it connect it sync for 3 second and then disconect and my data on my device do not update.
As usual it is so difficult to get help from Microsoft.

Are you gettng any error codes?

I might try running Detect & Repair (or Office Diagnostics if using Office 2007) and if that did not work, I would try removing the partnership from both the device and PC.  Soft reset the device, reboot the PC and try to setup a new partnership then try syncing.

I found the solution I went wireless Sync. A lot easier and no need to plug in. Works great and sync information as you load them. IN addition you can talk to a live person at your cell phone service company at least at Verizon
    Thanks MrBBFrog
