I tried to run a sdhc cab file on my Toshiba Portege G710 phone, then my problem starts. When I start the phone, only Toshiba displays on the screen and nothing else happens. I press together the video and power buttons and the Download screen comes up. My pc does not recognize my device either. What can I do to have the phone operating again?

Hello. Sorry that the hard reset did not take. Again, we don't know that is the correct procedure since there is nothing on the net for the G710. I would contact Toshiba support to make sure that is the way to hard reset the device or consult any product documentation/manual that you might have. You will definitely need the device to boot up to Windows Mobile to get the device to sync. Also, you might try a new battery, make sure it is fully charged, or do the hard reset with the charger plugged in. Couldn't hurt cause it seems stuck. While you are at it, I would ask Toshiba or your carrier if they can "reflash the ROM" to fix it, or try for a replacement if you have insurance or it is under warranty. Good Luck.

Hello. The closest I could find for resetting the device is this for the G810:

Since it happened when you installed the SDHC cab, take the SD card out first before resetting. Also, taking the battery out for 30 minutes may help. Remember that a hard reset will remove any data/modifications you have done and returns it to factory conditions.

The problem still exist. There seems to a problem with the operating system. When I connect the phone to my pc it would not recognize it and the sync does not work because of this.
