Can't Connect to Facebook
- I'm using an HTC-8925 (AT&T Tilt) with 6.0 pro and have tried installing the new Facebook app. Unfortunately all I've seen from the app is "Can't Connect to Facebook Please check you're connected to the Internet". Well, I've checked and yes... everything else seems to be working fine. IE, email and all other internet related apps work just fine. I've gone to AT&T's support page to verify that my connection and proxy settings are all set properly for their network.
Any suggestions? Is there any way I can get more information from the app regarding the problem?

I've been able to use the Facebook app on my Samsung BlackJack II running 6.1 but let's see of others with a Tilt can replicate your issue. I've also asked my colleagues to provide tips if they have any advice.
Thank you from the Microsoft Windows Mobile Team
http://www.WindowsMobile.com/TotalAccess- And I can use it on my HTC Touch Pro as well. I'll send a note to a couple of folks that have a Tilt to see if they have any issues.
I'm sure you have checked but are you positive you are logging on with the correct credentials? When you experience that error, if you try to surf the web, you can connect and view a web page ... correct?

http://www.mobilitysite.com I'm able to connect with my titan. Have you only tried connecting via AT&T's network or have you tried over wifi as well. If you havent' tried over wifi I would give that a shot to as it may help us to know which direction to troubleshoot next. Also have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the application?
MVP-Mobile Devices- I have an AT&T Tilt. I just downloaded the Facebook application and it connects and works fine.
Did the application install. Is this message happening when you run the Facebook app?
Laura - I am getting the same error on my htc diamond, regardless of whether i do via wifi or 3g
- I'm having the same problem on my Xperia X1i.
I can surf the web on Opera and send an MMS. Facebook panel, Facebook app and weather-programs can't connect. Are there any restrictions that we might have not found? It seems like apps can't conenct out but everything else works.
Help please. - Sorry about the me too post, but I'm getting the same thing on my HTC Herald, WinMo 6.1.Has anyone found a solution? Did it clear up after a while?
- Has anyone who has the problem tried to re-install the application?

It was working before a hard reset of my phone, upon install, the error came up. Uninstall and re-install from the same link you posted gives the same error.
Still same error connecting over the Vodafone NZ GPRS network. All other apps (SPB weather, Opera Mobile, Google Maps, pocket IE, Windows Live Mobile, Mosko.Mobi's Facebook IM) and MMS can connect without a hitch.
I am still getting the error "Can't Connect to Facebook Please check you're connected to the Internet".
I will try the connection at home over secured WiFi and post whether it works or not.
Are there any registry settings that need to be checked? maybe it picks up a proxy? I know that when plugging in my phone to charge on my laptop at uni (running windows mobile device centre for Vista), my laptop is conned to our proxy server proxy.student.otago.ac.nz. However we have 4 different network hubs and the phone picks up whichever hub the data is being transferred to and automatically changes its proxy configuration accordingly to student.networking-x.otago.ac.nz (which is wrong and means no data can connect using these settings). I then have to remove the proxy from connection settings and then my data connects to vodafones network no problem. I work for ITS at the university and this is a common conneciton issue among all Windows Mobile devices.
Running Windows Mobile 6.1 pro on an old HTC prophet (rebranded the i-mate Jamin).

Tried to reconnect using Vodafones GPRS network, again no connectivity, same error.
The APN for vodafone's network that I am using is www.vodafone.net.nz
it has no proxy config or anything that needs to be configured on the device to connect.
Hope this helps troubleshooting a little bit
