    Hi everyone,

It seems that phone number links in text messages don't work when I click on them. I'm using WM6.1 on a stock HTC Touch Pro 2.

I was hoping to get some help please?

    Thanks,
    Pete

    Pete,

Couple of questions for you on this one. Where in the world are you? I ask as I've just tried this in the UK and it works fine. Secondly, are you using the HTC Touch Flo interface?

When I receive a message the numbers don't work from the first screen, but when I click the message and go into the conversation screen they work fine.

Lastly, what format are the numbers coming in as? In the UK I've tried both the standard 11 digit number without spaces (which worked) and also the international format with the +44 (again without spaces) and that worked fine as well.

Let us know how you get on with that.

    Hi J,

Sorry for my tardy response. I'm located in Sydney, Australia. I'm not using the TouchFlo interface. A bit more insight though, I've found that in some messages, I click and I get the prompt screen (to call, save to contacts, etc...) but in other messages, I get nothing no matter how many times I click the number.

The numbers in question are formatted as normal 10-digit valid numbers (same as the formats of the numbers in the messages where it works). All the numbers from what I see don't have the international designator, so they are appearing as local numbers with local area codes with the zero at the start.

I am in conversation mode when I try this too by the way.

So at this stage, I'm kind of stumped - I really hate problems that are intermittent like this. Any advice you or anyone else has would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Pete
