HTC Touch 2 -Customise menus
- On mobile 6.5 Pro, how do you rearrange the Start & Today Menus?

- Hi all!
Many apologies, it would appear that my live ID account was not that live - no alerts to my current email address.
Yes, I have resolved the issue. Touch & hold any item and you have a choice to 'Move to the top'. Needs a bit of thought as to exactly what you want where so that you arrange it in reverse order. i.e. Move to the last item to the top first.- Marked As Answer byJack Cook - aka Help_LineMVP, ModeratorMonday, November 23, 2009 2:28 PM

- I don't have a 6.5 device yet but it might be helpful if you could expand a little on what you are trying to accomplish so someone that wants to help knows exactly what you are trying to do.

- No appology needed LozGee. Since we last replied I got a 6.5 device and now clearly see your issue. It is too bad that there are not a couple of more options such as Move to Top, Move to Bottom, Move up one, Move down one so it is a little easier trying to arrange the icons the way YOU want it to look.
It took a little playing around but I have been able to adjust the icons to the order I want and I expect you have been able to do so as well ... it is sort of like a puzzle to get it the way you want (lol).

http://www.mobilitysite.com - Yes, I did make the adjustment, and now every time I dig deep into the Start Menu, I think 'am I going to use this in the next few days?' and if so, up To the Top it goes! For example, having just wrestled with (and won!) setting up Remote Desktop, it was handy to have that at the top then.
As with any 'design', one day it will leap off the screen that I have finally got it how I want <maybe!>.
I'm sure some bright spark out there will come up with a Reg Edit that simplifies, maybe when that happens I can stick it into VB front end for everyone to use.
Fabulous OS, none the less.
Thanks for the tip on Mesh - I used it, but our Mobile Broadband UK providers have a volatile network and just one 23 meg file failed. Once I get on land Broadband, I will use it more frequently.
