How to access Internet through wifi enabled router from windows mobile phone.
- I have a Samsung Omia Pro 7320 with Windows Mobile 6.0 OS. Tried several setting to access internet from my wifi & 3G enabled set, but failed. I can access my router's default gateway & control panel at http://192.168.1.1 but no pages are opening in internet explorer or any other application. I am using a Nokia SL-141 wifi enabled broadband router connected with my PC. During the las 15days i have read nearly all available forums or support pages available on the net regarding this issue but failed to configure my phone's setting to get it working.
Please provide the configuration setting, so that internet can be accessed from the phone by using wifi-enabled router which is directly connected to the net.
You have step-by-step guide or information regarding the phone configuration only then you should post, otherwise please don't make this place a garbage. I think this will help all the people using Windows Mobile 6 or higher.

- Have you tried to access any free wifi access points on your phone?
What kind of security or encryption are you using on your network?
Is it just wifi you are not able to use or do you also have problems using a data connection (GPRS/Edge/3G)?
Have you seen these articles that I've written on my blog?

- I have tried both, with WEP by providing a valid network key and with encyption disabled condition.
I am able to connect to GPRS and by using ActiveSync. I can also being able to open the routers configuration page ( http://192.168.1.1 ) from Internet explorer of my phone.
I have also tried the instruction provided at "Exploring WIFI and Internet Explorer under WM6.1" of your blog.
But not being able co access any other website while conecting through wifi.
I'm using a WM6.1 version phone and Nokia SL2-141 broadband router. - AS SEND TO SAMSUNG ERMS THROUGH MAIL:
Earlier, I had requested for some assistance and you replied that i have to visit your service center. But the service center is 232Km away from my home town, so visiting your service center is not being possible for me immediately.
However, as I requested could you please send me detailed configuration to surf the internet through my wifi enabled broadband router connected with my PC (Siemens SL2-141). I have tried several setting to access internet, but failed. Although connecting with ActiveSync or other data connection (GPRS/Edge/3G)are perfectly working and I can access my router's default gateway & control panel at http://192.168.1.1 after successfully connecting to my wifi router, but no pages are opening in internet explorer or any other application. During the last 15days i have read nearly all available forums, blogs or support pages available on the net regarding this issue but failed to configure my phone's setting to get it working. Several other Omnia users are also facing the same problem. I have also posted my problem with 'Samsung Omnia Pro B7320' at Microsoft blog at http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowsmobilephonesandaccessories/thread/a1d11cb6-7aa2-4eb6-a79b-d1157671fb9e
It will be very helpful to have detailed configuration setting from your end.
One last question i have to ask that you have provided "New PC Studio" application at the phones software section on your site, which can't connect with the phone and showing error messages repeatedly. Have you checked the issue as all my fellow users are facing the same problem with the phone.

Just checking back with you to find out if you are still experiencing your issue. Since we have not seen a response since your above email to Samsung, we hope that means that you have resolved your issue. If this is not the case, please let us know the current status so that we may continue to provide suggestions and recommendations as required.
Thanks!
Thank you from the Microsoft Windows Phone Team
http://www.WindowsPhone.com/TotalAccess - Each time i asked for help from Samsung ERMS they just inform that the issue is being forwarded to their technical team an nothing else happened.
However, still facing the issue of not getting any net access (through IE or any other installed programs) instead of successfully connecting with router. When you connect to your wifi network with the Samsung, does the button turn green indicating that the connection has been made, but you are not able to do anything with Internet Explorer?
Are you able to use any internet related services, such as Instant Messenger?
Prof Julie, Microsoft MVP Mobile Devices | http://pocketprimer.com- Yes the button turn green, wifi connection with the router is OK but i can't access the net. Is there any specific proxy setting? My router details is noted above. IM is also not working with wifi.
- If you open up the wifi Configure Wireless Network page on your windows phone. Change the "Connects to" to "The Internet." Then see if you can use Internet Explorer.
