How can I stop the lag on the Imagio and make the screen rotation work?
- I just got the Imagio from Verizon two days ago. Everything was great on the first day, but now many of the programs (even the camera) lag like crazy and I can't even get the screen to rotate. Can anyone help me figure out how to fix this? I tried the G callibration fix in the settings menu and although it was able to sense the phone's movements perfectly, it didn't fix it for the rest of the phone's programs.

- I have the Imagio as well and have been pretty happy with it. Like all devices there are issues (someday we will get the perfect device). The biggest issue that I see is memory does not totally clear when a program has been ended (stopped totally). If you soft reset the device and check available program memory that is what should be there pretty much most of the time with no programs running in the background. However, after running several programs and shutting them down, that original memory never returns to the state it was at a soft reset ...
I believe that the lag you experience is because memory is not sufficient so consider what I have done.
If I experience a lag, I make sure that there is nothing running ... I close it down completely. If that is not enough then I soft reset the device. For the life of me, I cannot understand why they did not provide a "hole" in the cover to access easily the soft reset button. It is too damn hard and inconvenient to remove the back cover. So I downloaded and installed a free soft reset program ... there are several out there that a search for "Pocket PC soft reset program" will reveal. Try them and then use the one that you like.
So now, if I experience a "lag", a soft reset usually cures the issue (until I need to do it again).
As much as a pain in the neck that is, I am incredibly happy with the device and the abilities it has.
I hope that offers some help for you.

- sadly, that did not help. I guess I just have a defective device. I do at least have insurance on it, but it's going to suck to pay $89 for a deductible on a phone i just got a week ago. oh well thanks for your help.
- It is only a week old, that should not be an issue. If it is defective, it should be a replacement with no questions.
I had a similar issue with a defective device a couple of years ago. I returned it to the store (about 4-5 days after I got it) and they exchanged it right away. it is worth the effort to try that.

http://www.mobilitysite.com - BTW, what programs have you installed?
Also, what is the available Program memory on your device? Do a soft reset, and now what is the available program memory?
I have turned off TouchFlo and I use the Windows Default ... I like it better (personal preference) but it did give me a little more memory.
