Windows Mobile 6.5 - Threaded SMS - How to remove or change sort order.

Hi,

I have a new Omnia 2 running Windows Mobile 6.5 (Build 21856.5.0.65)

The threaded SMS is shocking. When going to view messages it scrolls from the oldest to the newest before you can read the message. Obviously this is really annoying.

I have tried to turn off the threaded SMS using the registry edit's as for Windows Mobile 6.1 however this does not work.

I can live with the threaded SMS as long as i can change the sort order of the messages or get it to go straight to the newest message and not the oldest message first.

Anyone have any ideas?

Found the answer to this one, and maybe any other samsung phone based on Windows Mobile

HKLM\Software\Samsung\JINBOX

Change ThreadedViewDisabled to a value of 1

Reboot the device.

I don't have the Omnia but I think the suggestion below should work for you.

Open SMS on your device. At the top of the screen, you should see Inbox on the left and on the left, if that is not the case, select "Received" from the dropdown list. Now you should have the newest messages listed first.

Thanks Linley, I have had a look at this. I can only find a sort option for the Inbox, my issue is actually within the conversation part of the message.

I cannot find a sort option for this and there is no received option at the top.

any idea on how to disable / stop the threaded messaging on an HTC touch2 running on windows mobile 6.5? sure would be helpful :)
