Contacts not set to Sync for some reason, wants to delete all contacts now.
- Hi,
When I sync my phone today in settings I see contacts are not selected in Vista.
So I tick that and it prompts to have the desktop remove all contacts on the device.
So I change that to not remove conflicts on the device rather remove contacts on the desktop.
Upon sync it said changes are maid on the server and all data that is new from the last sync will be removed.
I have no choice but to buy a new phone and have T-mobile transfer the data for me and then pretty much reformat vista.
I chose to delete all partnerships but then it said it will remove all data from the device upon sync.
I dont understand why it would want to do that!
Yes Im buying a second phone and reformatting because MS sync wants to delete content from my phone.
(My phone has no back up feature at all besides sync)
Cant sat say its fun and Sync once removed 1500 contacts from my phone (2 years ago) when I synced with a new PC with 0 contacts.
Vista and windows mobile 6.

- Hello. Wow, no, you don't have to buy a new phone or reformat Vista! First, here are a couple of backup options for your PIM data:
1. MyPhone service:

Yes, for some reason, when changing sync options or deleting partnerships, content does get deleted from the phone.
