    Is there no 64 bit version?   I have xp 64 bit and cant install this.

    The Windows Live installer doesn't support XP 64, it does however support Vista 64. I have a feeling that if you searched around a bit and found the Live Writer msi that would install on XP64. Google is your friend ;)
