- Hi
Sorry to say but they are correct.. to get the MCTS Windows Forms you also need to take exam 70-536. This MCTS (as well as .NET development MCTS) are a combination of the 70-536 and another exam. So you have 1 more exam left to do to get this certificate

70-562 Objectives List with MSDN Links - The problem is that i think 70-536 is (VS2008 & DOT.NET 3.5) hwiich i have no experience in.
And went to do 70-526 to get a cetificate - Actually 70-536 deals with the foundations of .NET development on 2.0 so you will be ok. As a windows dev most of the stuff will be ok.. Check my blog posts in my signature to give yourself an idea.

does one have to select the language in the begining as well?
how many questions?
Regards- Experience of that exam.. did it 3 times as part of upgrades back in 2006/2007
Yes you select the language either C#, VB.NET or Visual C++
Average expect the same number of questions you got on your 70-526 exam.

Microsoft experience http://www.microsoftkit.com- Hi,
Congrats for passing the exam 70-526. You will recieve confirmation email from microsoft for completing the exam. Then you need to login to your mcp website using your windows live, msn or hotmail id. There you can download the certificate. You are eligible to get the certificate for this exam only after completing the below requirements.
Credit Toward Certification Exam 70-526: TS: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 - Windows-Based Client Development: counts as credit toward the following certification(s):

- Good day, Now i don't understand.
I don't need to do 70-536?
I have not received any confirmation email from microsoft?
Please help - Sachin, can you read the rest of the thread before jumping in! If you read the exam page for 70-526 you would see it says credit toward and not complete requirements for...
Ismailc .. you still need 70-536 to complete your MCTS as it is part of the requirements for this certification. All certifications on .NET 2.0 and 3.5 require that you pass this exam (70-536).

- Thank You as I made booking to do the exam - .... what a relief.
I have a concern though, I have received no email confirmation from Microsoft & all i have is my 70-526 test results, what happens when i pass 70-536
i don't receive any confirmation, will i have difficulty get the certificate?
Only 70-536 to get certified?
Apologies for the silly & repeated questions, i don't want the same thing to happen as before where i passed the exam & thought i was certfied & not.
Please let me know :) - When you take and pass your first exam, you will recieve 2 emails from microsoft to the address you signed up for the exam with. 1 contains your MCP ID and the other is a time sensitive code valid for 72 hours. You use these to validate and link your Live account with your MCP ID so that you can log into the MCP site.
If you havent recieved these you should check your spam filters. And if they are not there, call your local Microsoft Regional Support centre for assistance
Right now, I can tell you that you only need to pass 70-536 and you will be certified on .NET Windows Apps.
