Are they all copies of files that have successfully synchronized between the machines in your Mesh? Does the notifier indicate that there are any conflicts? Do any of your PCs have the option to update the MP3 tags automatically in the media player set? If so, and the files are being updated on more than one PC before the sync completes, you're going to get conflicts and files sitting in the holding area. How about file dates for those in the holding area compared to the files that they are copies of? Do the timestamps provide any clue as to when the files ended up in the holding area?
In the sync folders are there any placeholders instead of the actual MP3 files?

Steve is right, those sound like a lot of conflicts have occured that it's waiting on you to resolve.  Files that are waiting there but show up in the folders are typically a conflict and Mesh can't update without your input, or the file has been locked in use the entire time and Mesh can't update it.
