RSS Feeds not working

For several weeks now none of my RSS feeds work. I have been unable to find anyone else on the net that seems to be having this problem. I'm using IE8 and I thought I would download and reinstall it but it says I have a newer version than the one you can download. I used the Microsoft Fix it app to "reset" IE8 but this did not fix the problem. However Firefox displays the feeds just fine. I don't want to have to open it just to view my feeds on my.live.com though. Any body have any suggestions?

Hi,

Are you viewing the page in "IE7-Compatibility" mode? My.live.com does not support native IE8 - compatibility mode must be turned on.

Yes I have it in compatibility mode. I'm really at a loss as to what could be causing this problem.
