viernes, 24 de abril de 2009 14:52Hi All,
We have OCS 2007 Standard Edition R1. We are not going to be using the LiveMeeting Online subscription service. We are interested in deploying LiveMeeting internally for collaboration. I found the client for download on the MS web site. Do we need to license the LiveMeeting client?
BTW: I tried calling Microsoft, but I'm not getting a straight answer. My vendor rep says we need the Enterprise CAL, but Microsoft is saying that we don't need to license the client, only if we were to use the subscription service.
Any advice? Thanks!

To use OCS Livemeeting you do need an Client Access License.
OCS has 2 types of CAL:
- STD CAL : IM / Presence / P2P Voice
- ENT CAL : A/V Conferencing, Live Meeting, Enterprise Voice
If you want your users to do Live Meeting then you need for every user that is doing Live Meetings a STD CAL + ENT CAL (Licenses are additive)
