    Hello,

Whenever I try creating an appointment in my Outlook, try tracking it in the CRM, there's always an error message pops up saying that "An error occurred promoting this item to Microsoft CRM. The Microsoft CRM server could not be contacted or the user has insufficient permissions to perform this action. This item has been saved into Microsoft Outlook but is not being tracked on CRM."

Whenever I try creating an appointment on the CRM, a message saying that a SQL Server error occured. When I click OK, here is a screenshot of the error page that I got.

I think the problem might have something to do with our SQL database also, instead of just the Scheduling Engine?

So I checked out Microsoft update page at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917010, here might be the cause of the problem:

The appointment requires resources that are already scheduled for another appointment at the same time.
The Microsoft CRM Post Callout objects subscribe to the PostCreate callout event for appointments.

As for the first one, probably I can just manually search for a 'resource' conflict on my calendar....

I don't really understand about the 2nd one tho, anyone minds explain that one to me?

I already installed update Rollup 3 into my machine, yet this problem still exists.

    Thank you in advanced!!!

Hi Imran, thanks for the reply.

Turned out the error was because of the bugged CRM Rollup update 3. I have uninstalled the update from our CRM server and all the clients, and we have never received the errors anymore.

Still waiting for the fully-fixed, bug-free version of CRM Rollup update 3 though. Have anyone installed the update yet?
