I'm brand new to MS CRM 4 and trying to find my way around. I have been trying to create a workflow with little success. I want to run the workflow on demand. Basically I just want to create a series of tasks that are created automatically after the previous one is completed. I am getting hung up on the first check condition. I have it setup like so:
Step 1: Create Task 1
Check Condition: if task 1 activity status equals completed then:
Step 2: Create Task 2
Check Condition: if task 2 activity status equals completed then:
Step 3: Create Task 3
When I test this workflow task 1 gets created. I save it as completed but then task 2 never gets created.
I've played around with the check condition attributes and I am out of ideas, Please HELP!

Instead of checking for a status of completed, try a WAIT condition that waits until the task is completed. You may also want to check STAGED workflows. These were called Sales Processes in CRM 3.0 and available only for Opportunities. In CRM 4.0 they are available for all entities. I think your situtation would be a good application of this. -
