    I have a WHS2011 server up and running...  For a variety of reasons, looking to migrate to a Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials - environment.  Wondering if anyone knows if the client backups on WHS2011 can be migrated to a windows storage server machine? The client machines are running, so i know i can just backup again on the new Server, but wondering if the history of client backups can be migrated..

    Yes, they can be migrated. You should be able to back them up on your Windows Home Server machine and restore them on your SSE machine, though you'll probably have to do the restore from the desktop.

    I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
