What would be very useful to "normal" users, perhaps for a v2 of the product since it's probably too late for v1, would be a simple domain network. The purpose of a home domain would be to enable roaming profiles and redirected folders (to a share on the WHS). The WHS would be an AD w/DNS server and the connector software would automatically join the clients to the domain, set the system DNS to use the WHS (to prevent requring DHCP conflicts with home router defaults), and have a variant of moveuser to migrate the local account to a domain one seamlessly.
The benefit for this is that with multiple computers, anyone could use any computer in the household and have all of their data and preferences available. With Vista's fast-user-switching in domain-joined machines, it would work very well.
The right default settings in the connector software could make it work easily and without asking difficult questions. It would make it very easy to setup additional "terminals" in the kitchen, family room, or wherever, since the profiles would follow them around. For normal users, it'd be magic....

While doubtlessly doable given that WHS seems to be build on Windows Server for Small Business Server ( the standalone version which is crimped at 15 users ) and a pretty attractive proposition, you're beginning to blur the lines with and eat into the Small Business Server space .....and market.
Add your AD, Roaming profiles to File & Print, Backup Remote desktop, add otherss suggested POP Connector and Shared PST and what have you got ? ... a "light" version of SBS ..and one that won't be just a Home product, but will eat into the small business market SBS currently supplies.
...not saying that that would necessarily be a bad thing, Just an economic consideration.
It's always a diffcult choice to make as to where in the -possible- feature set to draw the line in the sand.
Personally I'd love to see it. ... an am guessing that given time we will.
Imagine running all that from a HP TouchSmart IQ770 PC.or 2 connected wirelessly which you can move around the house...
