I was trying to build a PivotCollection with the provided PowerShell scripts for a resource type with JPG files associated, but it didn't work, so I changed the images format to PNG and it worked. So are JPG or JPEG files supported by the Zentity PivotCollectionCreator or the only supported image format is PNG (taking into account that DeepZoom supports both JPG and PNG)?

    Hi Santiago,

    Thank you for your post.

Jpg and Jpeg are both supported in Zentity. Unless there is some problem with the DPI of the source images, the conversion should execute fine. Please ensure that the Horizontal and Vertical DPI of the source images are equal, otherwise collection generation will fail.

    See an example here.

    -Regards

    Hi Kalnemi,

    Thanks for your answers.

I've tried several times to generate the Pivot Collection with JPG files but I still can't manage to make it work, even using images with the same Horizontal and Vertical DPI when the collection is created Pivot just shows the resources with a white background even when the JPG files are in the database and are correctly associated (I know they are correctly associated because as long as I change the JPG file for a PNG file and reupload everything works like a charm)

Have you ever seen a JPG file working in a Zentity generated Pivot Collection? Is there any extra paramater I need to pass to the Pivot Collection Creator to work with JPG files (for the Pivot Collection creation process I'm following the steps stated in the Getting Started Guide for the Presidents Sample)?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

I face the same issue as well. On the Pivot Viewer, I can view images if they are PNG, but not JPEG.

One workaround is to just rename the file extension from JPEG to PNG, which Zentity will then be able to display. Can I ask, is there anything I have missed out?

Previously, I have uncommented the 2 lines in web.config and also enabled basic authentication for the dataservice IIS. Anything else I need to do?

    thanks.
