Apps

jeudi 24 avril 2008 15:25I'm not going to "Which 3rd parties are you currently engaging with to build apps?" cos I know you won't spill the beans but how about ....
When the Apps functionality goes into the tech preview will there be 3rd party apps available as showcases?
e.g. I'm thinking of (and this is pure brainstorming - I'm not necassarily saying I want this) a Flickr app that shows yours and your friends' recently uploaded photos.

Hi Jamie - as you correctly indicate, our beans are unspillable at this time. ;o)
One could conjecture that in order for a platform to be a success it needs to have strong appeal to 3rd party developers. Usually, that appeal is easier to generate if some key parties have something to show along with the launch...
I'll make sure the suggestion about the a photo sharing app gets bubbled up.
Thanks,
-Tony

Thanks Tony. A suitably non-commitive answer :)
It wasn't a suggestion per se, more of an example. Besides, its probably not a relevant idea because by the time you guys release apps upon us Flickr won't be a 3rd party anymore :)
