lundi 19 mars 2012 07:13I believe this is my own thread, isn't it?
I downloaded MGA diagnostic tool on the link you provided and here-below are my results pasted with ctrl+V function.
About the COA, it says Windows xp home edition OEM software, then the 25 digits product key and then X11-45393 and two ISBN bars to the left and the the right with 14 and with 8 digits accordingly.
Proof of license certificate of authenticity, Label not to be sold separately, www.microsoft.com/genuine/systembuilder and ©Microsoft 2004, microsoft corporation, that's all on my COA, hope I mentionned the necessary info and omitted my product key as you say.

Yes, this is your thread :) - I use that phrase to discourage others from posting their reports in other people's threads. Please attempt validation at www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate - what happens? If it hangs, or fails, please see what the Diagnostics have to say, at www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag

lundi 19 mars 2012 12:41I saved the file named legitcheck.hta, but when seen in the browser it gives publisher microsoft, while if saved on desktop it gives "unknown publisher", (does not have a valid digital signature).
Still I tried to run it, it needs admin rights and does not have a "run as" option, so I must save it in shared docs and run it from admin account, and I hesitate. -

OK, I tried with IE8 with admin accounts and I think I passed validation.
I got this page:
http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate/ValidationResult.aspx?displaylang=el&cCode=GRC&PageName=validate
It says "welcome to windows world" and then, "because your windows are genuine, you can enjoy the safety, credibility and protection they offer" (I translate from local language) and then it gives a free subscription to microsoft security essentials.
WGA does not show in my add/remove programs list of updates neither in my history of updates in windows update but it's the first time I managed to get a result when pressing express link there, because previously it used to ask to download WGA and I could not.
I'll keep the link you provided me with if in the future I'll have same problems.
