    I am making a image composition of 1200 images, and it worked the first time (but messed up overlaps), but it wont work anymore, what can i do? It stops at 50% of exporting to disk

    You are hitting one of the "Known Issues": http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ice/thread/973b5e3c-fcba-4cf9-b925-a8f7efc2b80d

    I suspect that you are using a 64bit version of Windows already?  You'd need 64bit Windows to let ICE take advantage of your 12gb.

    Even on 64bit version we do have some memory limitations. The issue is not the output resolution, but rather the number of source images that you are using.  If you can reduce the set of source images somehow (e.g. by providing fewer but larger images) then you may be able to work around this.

    But why did it worked the first time? And how do i do it then? I cant seem to find a amount that is low enough.
