updates always fails.

I keep getting messages that state I need to install updates. When I do, they fail. I have tried sveral times to got to One care data base update tool and load that program, but it comes back and says I have to be an administrater. This is and always has beem my coputer and have always been the administrater. When I try and go into user filies and try to change my account, it won't let me! Help please

If you are being told by OneCare that you are missing Windows Updates, go to Windows Update and check for updates and install them. If that is failing, your problem is not with OneCare, but with Windows Update. OneCare simply advises you that they are missing. If, however, you visit Windows Update and there are none offered, then OneCare may need to have the database repaired.

If there are no missing Windows Updates, save the database repair tool to the PC and right click, select run as administrator. I assume that you are using Vista.
If updates are failing, don't reset the database, but seek help with getting the missing updates.
