    Hope I have the right forum, doesnt seem to be one for the release version of WHS2011

    Just finished my migration from WHSv1 to WHS2011 and set up users, now when I go into the dashboard and look at properties of a folder and sharing I get an error saying an unexpected erro occurred 8004008A. The error directs you to this forum.

    I have checked the actual folders in Windows Explorer and the shares are all there correct.

    Anyone know how to get rid of this problem?

    Hi,

    I have no idea what could have caused this. Try restarting your server.
    If this does not solve the problem: you might want to have a look at this thread that reported a work around for a similar problem?

    I dont know how it got into that mess, I eventually, stopped the sharing and move the shares to another folder, rebooted, moved the shares back then re-shared them. All seems ok now
