    I'm looking to write an add-in but thought I would ask here first to check whether anything similar already exists or whether it is even possible to do what I want to write.

    I want to write an add-in that will show picture meta data in a better way in the picture gallery - i.e:

    -people tagged in the photo

    -geo-location (possibly map)

    -title/description

    -possibly photo comments

    -maybe photo ratings

    Does the SDK allow this kind of manipulation of the existing photo gallery to display additional data? I don't want to have to write a new photo gallery component just to enhance the existing if possible

    I expect that you won't be able to "extend" the gallery functionality that Microsoft has already provided; you'll have to roll your own gallery if you want different/more functionality.

    I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
