Unanswered Unusual backup problem

    For the past several days, all backups on main workstation failed, whereas all other backups for other systems A.O.K.

    On looking into it this morning, find I keep getting this message: -

    "Backup Status (100% complete)

    The backup failed because the volume is currently missing.

    The Event Log on the server contains volume name".

    I couldn't determine from the "name" which drive was the issue, so entered "configure backup" & one at a time, unchecked the drives (7 drives - 8 drive letters).  Each time, kept getting the error message after doing a backup, with the only drive left being the C drive.

    All disks reported as healthy & can't understand how one "went missing" as nothing added or removed from client.  Took a chance & removed client from WHS, rebooted client, installed connector & started a fresh backup - this succeeded.

    Had you, at some point, connected an external drive? If so, that may have been the "missing" drive.

    I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)

    No Ken, nothing added to server or workstation.  On the plus side.  All backups so far have been OK.  Possibly something corrupted on the c drive?
