Is there a way to add the Finish Variance and cost variance values to key milestones shown on the Timeline display? It seems likely that the Timeline would be would be appreciated by the sponsor and other key project stakeholders. Those folks want information about the progress of their investment. Variance is a great way to provide some of that information. Regards, Lynn

Hi Lynn,
It seems you can only show the task name and the date automatically via Project, however what you can do is export the timeline graphic to word using the 'Copy Timeline' feature and manually add the finish and cost variances to the Milestone label outside of Project.

Alex.

I see I did not provide enough information. I was thinking about a Timeline display that presents the major WBS life cycle elements. Assume that some of the elements are scheduled one after the other - so those would appear in the same row. I think it difficult to visually relate a set of variance values to a set of WBS elements in series. Which is too bad because I think this is otherwise a very, very useful display for the sponsor and key stakeholders.
Thanks for you help.
