Hello,
I have a simple question:
When you are trying to get the project total cost in terms of "work", do you count only the human resources or do you count all the resources?
Thank you very much
Joao

Hi,
Counting Work instead of cost is indeed generally done for Projects where personnel time is the only source of cost.

Work can be done by human resources and in some cases machines which are charged/hours say you get a crane on 100$/hr for 5 hr - so you would also include such machines as Work resource and the total Work hrs account for all human and such machine resource.
Material resources doesn't get charged on "Work" hrs. rather the unit or quantity of them, which gets consumed during a project. Say, painting a house - material can be paint or varnish which gets consumed in liters @ 20$/l. These resources doesn't accumulate any work hrs but account for cost.
