HI,
I have a computer running SBS 2011 and a server with Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise joined to de SBS domain.
I've already installed CRM in 2008R2, but when I try to install AD FS 2.0 on 2008R2 I get an error message saying:
"This computer must be joined to a domain before you can install AD FS 2.0 using the Federation Server role option"
As I state before the 2008R2 is a member of SBS 2011 Server domain.
Thank you,
JPP
EDIT: The Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise is a fresh install

i think you have not added the server to the domain controller.
Please add the server to DC and give a try.

Hi Ahmed,
The server is a member of the domain controller. It is listed on DC: MyBusiness, Computers, SBS Serves.
On the Server, computer properties, Computer Name, domain and Workgroup settings, under Domain it has the correct domain name.
Thank you

The same error was encountered by me and the resolution was achieved using the command line installation of ADFS.
The following command was used: drive\adfssetup.exe /quiet
This should resolve the issue.
