    Hello,

I'm having an issue with problem in subject.

    situation:
    CRM Dynamics 2011 on premises
    Sharepoint 2010 on premises
List component is installed and activated
    filesharing: permissive
    IIS is restarted
URL is added to the sharepoint sites in CRM (and validated)

    problem:
In CRM - settings - documentmanagement - settings for documentmanagement
I get the message that the URL is not a valid url.

    Does anyone have an idea?

    URL must use https

Everything is on premise and in the same domain, so no external way of reaching the url.

Does it still needs to be https?

Clicking on the 'not valid' url brings me to the correct website. So in reality the url is valid, apparantely only not for CRM dynamics

    Hi TomGh,

The url does not need to be https. The URL needs to be from a site which you have read, contribute and design permissions. site e.g. http://sharepoint/mysite/

    things to check:

    1. Alternate mappings are the url valid with the alternate mappings?
    2. CRM port in IIS must be the same in the deployment manager (in case sharepoint is installed on the same server and you have changed IIS CRM port).
    3. Check you have enough permissions (this is the user setting up the CRM document management settings, this does not relate to the AppPool service account)

let us know how you get on

    Regards

    Nuno

If you say 'you' (regarding permissions) what user do you mean.
Is it the crm user who has to have rights on the sharepoint or the other way around?

In the central admin - alternate acces mappings, the internal url is the same as the regular url (internal url = public url for zone)

The user setting up the sharepoint CRM settings. is the context user and not a service account or crm administrators etc..

    To all,

    the problem is not solved.

The users, context or otherwise have all the rights.
    Permissive is on.
    crmlistcomponent is installed and activated.
    IIS restarted
listcomponent solution deactivated, removed, installed again en activated

    I keep getting this error:

    Hi TomG,

This must be related with your alternate mappings.

Can you give us how exactly you have the domains configured. replace the real domain with eg. abc.com etc.

    Hi nrodi,

    tnx for you reply.
The sharepoint is internal so there is no dns configured for outside acces

These are the alternate acces mappings:

extend your webapp, create a hostheader, there in the downsection add again the url.

go back to aam, add internal url and again your url.

make in dns for the hostheader a record to your server ip or hostname

with https, then u can check if now when https using if works

    Hi TomGh,

So are you using: http://crm-sharepoint/ ? can you try the others (if you haven't done it already) specially the one with .local

The screenshot with the error (the one above you hidden the url) does look quite small compared to what you have on the alternate mappings. Did you create a site first and used:

    http://crm-sharepoint/mysite/  for the configuration?

I've created a second webapplication, didn't do anything in AAM or IIS and experienced no problems.
    Very strange.
