If your OneCare status is green - the icon in your system tray is a green circle with a white #1 in it, OneCare is protecting your PC. Open OneCare to see a detailed status.
When using Windows Live OneCare, the information in the Windows Security Center is extraneous and you should not be concerned with it. I don't currently have access to a PC running XP with OneCare on it to tell you what I see.
If you believe that your PC may be infected, and you believe OneCare did not detect or cannot remove the malware, please contact support to report this and for help with removal.
