Need to delete Dir's and backup file for Windows Live OneCare

I have tried everything to dellete the files and the directories but continue to get access denied!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do I need to uninstall the product first???? No posts say I need to do this!!!!

No, you do not need to uninstall OneCare before deleting the folders and files. Note, however, that OneCare backup will fail if the destination no longer exists and you will need to run a new/full backup to proceed unless you disable OneCare backup.
