    Hi,

    I am running Project Server 2010 Sp1.

    I have the RBS set.

    I need to allow the Manager to open the Project of their resource (that are Project Owner) in MS Project Pro.

    The resource manger group is in the my resource and all project categories.

    I am pretty sure that if I give special permission to the manager in project permission but we had too much project to do that.

    What is the best way to achieve this?

    Assuming you have not changed the default groups and categories, do the following:

    • Go to Server Settings >> Manage Groups
    • Select the "Resource Managers" group
    • From the list of categories available, select the "MY Resources" category
    • This will open up a list of specific permissions right below.
    • Select the following permission (pic below). If you need to additional options select the other ones too.
    • Click OK.

    Ok the "Open Project" Box is Selected. What will be the best way to let Resource manager edit and save the base line of those project? (Only the project of their resources)

    In the same list, you should be able to find the permission to "Save Protected Baseline", Select that one + the others I show in that picture above.

    It work Fine, But I needed to add The category "My Resources & Project Managed by my resources".

    This categoriy had the box checked "The project Owner is a descendant of the User Via RBS".
