    i downloaded windows live messenger 9 many times and i will always encounter this problem: 

    Windows Live Communications Platform has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

    Error signature: 

    AppName: wlcomm.exe AppVer: 14.0.8064.206 ModName: nmdfgds1.dll

    ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0001d576


    i see most people having kernell32.dll problem.. something like that but mine is different.
    its nmdfgds.dll  so can anyone help me? it will be greatly appreciated :)

    Hi ,
    I had the same problem  :
    I login then after a few seconds say 5 ; the msn live was crashing with error you mentioned above.
    on the following page there was a solution candidate helpful for me.

    * Close MSN completely.
    * Delete the file: C: \ Program Files \ Windows Live \ Contacts \ wldlog.dll
    * Open and connect MSN

    Hi there,

    Ive got the same problem and i tried several issues without success .... ive uninstalled/intalled win live 2009, ive tried win blinds .... and ive finnally tried ....

    * Delete the file: C: \ Program Files \ Windows Live \ Contacts \ wldlog.dll   .... and it works !!!!
