    I sign in using my live ID that is my verizon.net email address.  When I attempt to register a domain name for my server I get the message that it is already taken or improper... This message appears no matter what I use for a domain name.  I mean I can put CDRD123refct1567GgGhH and that doesn't work! What have I done wrong or not done?

    You normally get a different error message than yours but it does not like Live ID passwords with odd characters (&, $ etc.). If you have one of these in your password it would be worth temporarily changing it and trying your Domain Name registration again.
