[ C# ] How to get WHS status?

Hello
I'm developping a little tool in C# and I need your help, it's not a WHS addin.
The question is simple.
How can I get information about the WHS status (WHS v1 & WHS 2011 !)?
I want to know when a WHS is backuping a client PC and it's progress, nothing. I imagine that I can get those information by calling some methods stored in the WHS Connector/Dashboard dll's, but I don't know which one.
Can someone help?

Study the Windows Home Server SDK. Note that this is for Windows Home server 2011; I don't think the V1 SDK is available any more.
