Normalization of phone calls that come in

Terkunci Normalization of phone calls that come in

    Hi,

I have a problem wiht the normalization of an outside phone call that comes in and it's missed.  The call shows in the Recent Contacts and in the e-mail as

    +dddddddddd

We need a 9 in order to dial out so I created a normalization rule in the Company_Phone_Number_Normalization_Rules.txt file

    #
    # +dddddddddd
    #

    (\+)?(9)?(1)?([\s\-.])?(\d\d\d\d\d\d\d\d\d\d)
    +91$5

But even thought this rule is there and it passes the test the calls that come in from the outside do not get normalized in the recent contacts or in the e-mails sent by Unified Messaging.

Does anyone has a solution for this problem?

    Thanks

    Judy

    Judy,

Is your OCS deployment running in Remote CAll Control or Enterprise Voice configuration? Number normalization is hence reverse lookup is handled differently between these two scenarios.

Our OCS deployment configuration is Enterprise voice with PBX integration

I would not do Phone normalization and adding a "9"

You should move this complexity to your Gateway that connects to the PBX

Or if you don't have a Gateway your PBX should do this

OCS Should only work with E.164 numbers
