CRM 4.0 - Email to Cc list on case update
-
16 Juli 2008 22:59Anyone implemented a Cc list for a case/ticket?
I'd like the case entity to store the Cc list, then anytime the case is updated, everyone on the list gets copied with the changes via email.

hmm... I was hoping for something a little more verbose.
I actually tried a bunch of workflow options and none of them worked for me. Maybe I didn't try the right one? Which one worked for you, cuz I can clearly tell you know exactly how to do it and have had it implemented for months now. -

But, it was a co-worker of mine that actually did that piece for the client (not so woohoo). Technically, I am on vacation right now. I will ask her for details in the office on Monday.

It was a plug-in.
Not a workflow. Is that any better? -
22 Juli 2008 15:07Not yet, but if it's a plug-in you're willing to share...

Do the change summary e-mails need to be delivered real-time? If not, another approach would be to write a report that runs each day (or several times/day) that collects all of the Case changes and sends out a combined report to proper recipients. This would help to avoid the problem of sending one e-mail per update, since there are people like me who are in the habit of clicking Save far more than I probably need to! :-)
