30 Juli 2008 17:59I think I found a bug. I can't track an email in CRM that has an attachment with a filename containing an ampersand.
1. Create a text file and give it a filename containing an ampersand "&".
2. Email it to yourself.
3. From Outlook, do a "Set Regarding".
It should fail with "An error occurred promoting this item..."
Anybody else seen this?

I have come across special character issues related to Closing Cases with special characters in the subject line etc. so the behavior you noticed is quite probable.

I did look there. Why does a support.microsoft.com search on "An error occurred promoting this item", omit this article from the results!!??
