    Hi,

    I'm trying to install the prerequisites for CRM 2011 on my Windows 2008 SP2 server (running x64).

    However, I keep getting stuck on the WIF install - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17331.  Everytime I run the windows 6.0 X64 package I get the same result - this update is not applicable to your computer.

    Is there some magic to get this update to install correctly?

    Is the server fully patched?

    Do you have .NET 3.5 installed?

    Have you tried the 6.1 version from the same page?

    Are you running the Server Core version of Windows Server 2008?

    Hi,

    I have .NET 3.5 installed, I installed the "full version" of Windows 2008 Enterprise SP2.

    Notice some patches weren't there and put these on tonight... and it worked.

    I wish the error messaging was better on WIF... took me a while to get it to work.
