Existing product key Microsoft Office ...and Student - new computer

02 Januari 2011 1:46I bought a Microsoft Office Home and Student (or something and Student) version - good on up to 3 computers (It's been installed on 2). I have misplaced the disc. I now have a lap top with a trial version of Microsoft Office Home and Student - I pulled the product key off my old computer (from help/about), but it will not work as a key on the new computer. Do I have to download a different version?

Hello mouser999,
Use a trusted keyfinder utility (such as the Magical Jellybean Keyfinder or Belarc Advisor) to get the product key.
Download Office as appropriate from the links in this post:
It would be to your advantage to locate and safeguard your Office product for future use.
