Trouble some files
-
23 Maret 2010 19:19Last night while surfing the net I accidentally opened a file called Security Tool. This file took over my computer and finally I was able to restore my system to 3/11/2010. I am afraid that these files are still on my computer but I can't find them. My question is have you ever heard of this file and how do I rid my computer form this "Security Tool"? Thanks...

Security Tool is a rogue antivirus program. If System Restore alleviated the symptoms you should be ok. You should also delete your temporary internet files.I would recommend a malware scan but most scanners won't detect Security Tool anyway. If the pop ups return you can contact support for help with removal. I'll add that you have not noted if you are using OneCare...

For help with virus removal, contact the maker of your Antivirus program.
