Fiewall is blocking usb on router
-
11 Januari 2010 17:17I have recently installed a router with a usb port for my printer and external hard drive. The printer and external will only connect when the firewall is turned off even though I told it to allow the exception. I can't figure out how to do this manually.

You're going to need to obtain information from your router manufacturer on what ports and programs need to be added to the OneCare firewall allow list.
Basically, in order to access the devices attached to the router to function, there is probably software or a driver on your PC that was installed. That driver needs to have access through the firewall. It may require opening of ports or a range of ports.
