    Hi

I am new to project server 2010,

I want to set the project level permissions, i.e. User should be able to create and edit there own project in Project Center List

New link should not be disabled

How can set this permission(just like item level permission in custom list)?

    thanks and Regards,

    Swati Jain

The default permissions for the Project Managers group already allow what you want your project managers to be able to do.  To confirm this, open the Project Managers group for editing and then select the My Projects category in the Categories section of the page.  In the Permissions for My Projects data grid, you should see that the Create Object Links permission is selected, along with the other permissions needed to open, edit, save, and publish a project.  This set of permissions is what meets your requirements.  I am assuming you have not changed those permissions.  To tweak the permissions just slightly, you might want to do the following:

    1.  Log into PWA with administrator permissions.
    2.  Click Server Settings > Manage Categories.
    3.  Click the My Projects category to open it for editing.
    4.  In the Users and Groups section of the page, select the Project Managers group.
    5.  In the Projects section of the page, DESELECT the following options:
    • The User is on that project??s Project Team
    • A resource on the project??s Project Team is a descendent of the User via RBS
    6.  Click the Save button.

    Hope this helps.

Also ensure that the users who should have these permissions are members of the Project Managers group.
